Amy Medina Director of Nursing

It’s been an exciting year here at Cobblestone, beginning with our expansion of of our Atlanta Skilled Nursing Unit opening in June and  quickly filling to capacity by July.  All this while preparing for our State Regulatory Survey.

This year began a new survey process called QIS which stands for Quality Indicator Survey. This survey allows more intense scrutiny of our Medical Operations, quality of care given, medical record keeping and billing  services to our members.

During this time of intense scrutiny it was noted that other  Longterm Care Facilities were increasing in the number of deficiencies and levels of severity. The average number of deficiencies being 21. We at Cobblestone are proud to say that our number of deficiencies decreased from last year which were 7 to  this year having only 5 deficiencies of a minor level. Congratulations to our Cobblestone staff that work so hard everyday giving the highest quality of care so that we can meet and exceed these standards set before us.
