Jim Schneeberger

jim schneebergerFood & Beverage Director

Jim Schneeberger has over 36 years of Food Service experience.  In his current role, as Food and Beverage Director, Jim works along with 95 staff members in Food Service to help produce over 24,000 meals a month.  He has also served a role as a Food Service Resource Team Member where his responsibilities were to be a resource for LCS, LCS-managed communities, the LCS Director of Educational Resources and other appropriate individuals.

Jim received his Bachelors Degree in Business Management from Hodges University in Naples, Florida and a Certified Dietary Managers credentialing from The Dietary Managers Association.

With over 25 years of Food and Beverage Management experience in a CCRC setting Jim has built kitchens from the ground up and renovated existing ones establishing and reestablishing new programming along the way.  An important aspect of any Food Service Program is catering where large parties and weddings to morning coffee gatherings have occurred.

Coming to Park Springs in April of 2008, Jim implemented many changes and adjusted systems.  Opened two new dining venues and renovated a third creating a whole new look for the community.  After less than one year of employment the Bi-annual LCS Food Service Survey was distributed and showed a 20% increase in Member Satisfaction and Management presence.  His main philosophy is “I am only as good as the next meal I serve, can you help me.”  That is why only fresh foods from produce to meats and poultry are used and keeping menus new and fresh for the Members are keys to success.  We can never rest we have to keep looking for new and innovative ways of doing what we do for the betterment of all the Members and staff.

In 2010, Park Springs extended services in their Cobblestone Community (Health Center) to include Medicare Certified Kitchenettes.  This has given Members the opportunity to receive course service when dining in the dining rooms and make changes to their menu as their taste differ from one week to the next.  This addition has been received very well by the Cobblestone Members and will continue to be expanded in the future.
