Park Springs To Host CareGivers United Event

Speakers to highlight the journey of Atlanta native, Coach Frank Broyles and his family through Alzheimer’s; provide advice and guidance for caregivers

On September 26, Park Springs, Atlanta’s premier continuing care retirement community, is hosting an invitation-only event that will focus on families dealing with Alzheimer’s. Two major speakers with The Frank & Barbara Broyles Foundation’s CareGivers United, the organization founded by legendary Coach Frank Broyles, will provide advice and guidance for caregivers.

Coach Frank Broyles was the Athletic Director at the University of Arkansas for fifty years. When his wife Barbara developed Alzheimer’s disease, Frank, along with his daughter Betsy Broyles Arnold and granddaughter Molly Arnold Gay, helped Barbara through the multiple stages of Alzheimer’s disease. At the Park Springs event, Betsy and Molly will speak about their family’s journey and discuss the Coach Broyles’ Playbook for Alzheimer’s Caregivers.

Park Springs Fundraising Success

During the special event on September 26, Park Springs will also present a significant check to Larrica Hubbard, Metro Development Coordinator with the Alzheimer’s Association in Atlanta. Throughout the year, Members and employees of Park Springs have participated in a variety of fundraising events to show the support of the entire Park Springs retirement community to this organization, the world leader in Alzheimer’s research, care and support, dedicated to finding prevention methods, treatments – and an eventual cure for the disease.
