High Tea and High Style at Park Springs

On Friday, June 19 at 2PM in the Community Hall, many Members of Park Springs, the premier retirement community in Stone Mountain, will get together for one of the most delightful and colorful events in the year: a lovely afternoon of high tea and high style: “Tea and Fashions by Chico’s.”

This is a Party with a Purpose: The annual event helps the Park Springs Foundation raise funds for educational scholarships for the Park Springs employees. To attend: Please make your check @ $20 per person out to the Park Springs Foundation, and give it to the Concierge to receive your ticket. Your contribution is tax deductible.

The event is organized by Mrs. Lou Jewell, who for more than three and a half years has been planning and coordinating many cultural and social events as the Chair of the Women’s Forum at Park Springs. She works closely with the team of the Chico’s ladies fashion store at The Shoppes at Webb Gin in Snellville and her invaluable Park Springs committee, Mrs. Audrey Morgan, Mrs. Anne Tomlinson and Mrs. Shirley Baskin.

During “Tea and Fashions by Chico’s,” guests will be treated to a lovely ‘high tea’ prepared by the culinary team at Park Springs, including cucumber sandwiches, petit fours and other delicacies, but the highlight of the afternoon is certainly going to be the elegant, stylish and colorful fashion show. The models, all Members of Park Springs, will show a number of ensembles that are part of the current Chico’s collection.

“It is my goal to always bring engaging and interesting events to Park Springs, and I really appreciate Chico’s for helping us realize this fun and fashionable afternoon,” says Mrs. Jewell. “This is the second year in a row for the Fashion show – it was such a hit last year!”

Thank you to Mrs. Jewell and her committee for organizing another splendid afternoon at Park Springs, while raising funds for the Park Springs Foundation!
