Mac McNair

In remembrance of D-Day, June 6, 1947, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Helen Cauley interviewed Park Springs Member Colonel Nimrod “Mac” McNair about his experiences during WWII, including his memories of landing in Normandy, his close encounters with both General Patton and England’s Prime Minister Winston Churchill, and his many heroic adventures as a pilot.

The article appeared in the AJC on June 4, well-timed with the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of D-Day.  (Click here to read article online)  (Click here to download article [PDF])
