Keynote by Captain Tommy Clack (Ret.)

In honor of Memorial Day, the Rotary Club of Stone Mountain will honor all Veterans who live at the Park Springs Retirement Community in Stone Mountain on Tuesday, May 19 at 11:30AM at their annual “Salute to Veterans” lunch.

This year, Retired Captain Tommy Clack, Vietnam Veteran, will be the guest speaker. He accepted the invitation from Stone Mountain Rotarian, Mr. Al Lipphardt, US Army Veteran, VFW Department of Georgia State Commander.

“Our Members appreciate the Rotary Club of Stone Mountain for coordinating and hosting this meaningful annual event for the 9th year in a row,” says Anresa Davis, Stone Mountain Rotarian and Senior Residency Counselor at Park Springs. “Memorial Day is a time to reflect on the ultimate sacrifices of those who served their country, and to honor and remember the veterans who fought in wars both recent and long ago.”

More than 30 Rotarians and 65 Park Springs veterans are expected to attend the Memorial Day Observance and luncheon. There will be a color guard, and Mrs. Carolyn Brooks, Member at Park Springs, will play the service song for each branch, during which Veterans are invited to stand and be recognized for their service.
