For a healthy and active start to 2013, Lisa Kiely, Director of Wellness and Community Culture at Park Springs CCRC, encourages Park Springs’ members and staff to participate in “Wellness Challenge 2013” a multi-faceted exercise incentive program for the entire community. In addition to typical physical challenges, the mental, social, vocational and spiritual aspects that contribute to overall wellness are also included in the program.

Members and staff will be divided into teams. Starting January 14, everybody will use their score sheet to record points earned for exercise, healthy eating, water intake, time spent reading or attending lectures and art events, as well as time spent volunteering.

“Wellness Challenge 2013” runs for seven weeks through the end of February. Weekly tallies will be provided, and team standings will be posted in the fitness center and sent out via email.

The three top participants (members and staff) will earn prizes, and each individual on the winning team will also earn $100 in the form of Park Springs bucks or gift cards.
