Managing Partner
and Founder of
Park Springs
My name is Andy Isakson and my goal is simple. I want to build communities that give families peace of mind. In one move, you are welcomed into an active lifestyle with the best health care options available.
With that vision, Park Springs was born.
Our story began with my father, Ed Isakson, who spent his career in residential real estate brokerage. He knew residential real estate better than anyone, but when he and my mother were looking to downsize, he was never able to find the perfect fit.
Eventually my parents moved to a high rise that offered independent and assisted living. They loved the social connections and lifestyle of this community.
Unfortunately, my father passed away suddenly after six months. My mother’s dementia progressed and her changing condition forced four more moves over the next few years. This was an incredibly difficult time for our family, and through this journey, I began to understand Memory Care through the eyes of the adult child.
After my mother’s passing, I learned about communities in other states that had better residential options, great social amenities, and a continuum of care so you are never forced to experience a traumatic move with an ailing loved one. I could easily see the benefits after what my family had been through.
This discovery inspired me to develop a community that would fill the need I saw in the market. With the help of my nephew Kevin Isakson, we conducted extensive research, visiting some 75 communities throughout the country. Together, we built a business plan that would enable us to make a difference in people’s lives.
Hearing my story, some have asked if I founded Park Springs for my parents. Truthfully, this community exists because of the example they set for all their children. The Isakson’s have always sought to help others and to give back to the community. That’s what motivates me. And that’s what makes this community special.
Isakson Living is locally owned and Atlanta’s leading developer of innovative residential retirement communities.
The Isakson Living mission is inspired by family. While searching for the right community for his parents, Park Springs founder Andy Isakson discovered a need in the market.
There were no options that provided an active lifestyle and onsite healthcare in a setting that felt like home. With decades of experience in real estate and a passion for family, Andy committed to developing one himself.
Thus, Park Springs was born.
