08 Oct Come Sample Four New Exercise Classes at Park Springs
Reggie Porter, Park Springs’ beloved Fitness Center Manager, announced four new exercise classes that Members can sample during October 2013. He invites everybody to “… come try something new – you are guaranteed to work up a sweat and have a great time!”
Before attending any of these classes, Members must have all Fitness Center paperwork completed. If you have any questions, please contact Reggie Porter at X3161.
Sample classes include:
Zumba – October 8 at 10:30AM, Fitness level: all levels
This is a fitness class that combines Latin dancing with interval and resistance training for a full-body, rhythmic work-out. Park Springs will offer Zumba Gold, which is a modified version of the original Zumba. The Gold class is less intense, with dance routines designed for beginners and older adults using modified movements.
Meditation – October 16 at 11:45AM, Fitness level: all levels
This class will focus on The Eight Point Program for Meditation. This class will help with sharpening concentration, dealing effectively with stress, and releasing deep reserves of energy. This class is concentrated on mental and spiritual wellness.
Pilates / Core – October 23 at 9:30AM, Fitness level: intermediate
This is a class that emphasizes the balanced development of the body through core strength and flexibility.
Circuit Training – October 31 at 10:55AM, 11:20AM and 11:45AM, Fitness level: intermediate
A class that consists of multiple stations set up in a sequence with alternating exercises for opposing muscle groups. Stations are timed and when the time expires the exerciser moves to a different station with a new exercise. Note: This class will have limited space, please sign up for this class at the Fitness Center.
