08 May WSB-TV 2: Employees battle coronavirus by moving in
WSB-TV 2’s Justin Wilfon interviewed Donna Moore and Nadia Williams about the extreme lengths the Park Springs staff has undertaken to keep the coronavirus out of their life plan community. Approximately 70 employees agreed to move in with the Park Springs members 24/7 to care for the more than 500 members in the independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care facilities.
“Some of us brought tents, some of us brought mattresses,” Park Springs COO Donna Moore said. “I think the hard part was realizing that they were putting their personal lives on hold, their families and their commitments outside our campus.”
Moore knows they can’t keep doing things this way forever, but will likely continue at least into June.
“It’s just been really rewarding. I feel very humbled to be here,” Williams said.
