Meet Brian Thomas, Vintage Home Plan Coordinator for Park Springs

In 2008, Brian Thomas joined Isakson Living, the company that owns and operates Park Springs in the area of construction and plant operations, including maintenance and security. For the past two years, Brian has overseen Park Springs’ Vintage Home Plan that is currently used by at least 50% of the new members moving into Park Springs.

Brian explains that this plan allows new members to move to Park Springs even before their home is sold: “As a Vintage Home participant:

  • You can move before you sell.
  • We get your home on the market.
  • We can help you pack and prepare.
  • We can unpack and arrange furniture.
  • You begin enjoying life at Park Springs.”

“It is very rewarding for me to help new members go through the process of moving to Park Springs,” says Brian. “I appreciate the opportunity to assist with this major life decision by explaining the complicated financial and business issues that pop up when people plan to sell their home. It’s the best part of my job.

“I am able to discuss the importance of setting a realistic market value for homeowners who want to move to Park Springs. We know and can demonstrate that when a home is priced appropriately and ready to show, it will sell quicker, especially in today’s market now that the housing inventory is quite low.”

When the decision is made to move to Park Springs, Brian coordinates the appraisal, home inspection – including the home’s electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems – and if necessary, has crews paint and install new carpet in the home before it comes on the market. Similarly, he coordinates any special requests or physical improvements of the Park Springs residence before the new members move in. In addition, he is in charge of the ongoing refreshing and renovation throughout the community: every five years, each Park Springs home is refurbished.

Brian, a Georgia Tech graduate who worked in commercial construction in Atlanta before joining Isakson Living, lives with his wife, 9 year old daughter and 6 year old son in Brookhaven. He is an avid golfer and enjoys watching the Braves, Falcons and of course, the Yellow Jackets.

“I work with a great team here at Park Springs, and I enjoy helping our new and current members as much as I can,” notes Brian.
