16 Sep Park Springs Celebrates National Assisted Living Week
This week, from September 13 – 19, is National Assisted Living Week, established to raise awareness of the benefits of assisted living, and also to pay tribute to the caregivers and volunteers who work with the more than one million residents who live in assisted living communities throughout the United States, including Cobblestone at Park Springs.
According to the official website of the National Center for Assisted Living, National Assisted Living Week was established in 1995 to provide “a unique opportunity for residents, families, staff, volunteers, and the surrounding community to come together to share with our residents a variety of events and activities that show them how much we care for them.”
This year’s theme of National Assisted Living Week is “Nourishing Life: Mind, Body, Spirit” and highlights the variety of ways in which caregivers support the residents in assisted living communities such as Cobblestone.
As Amanie Waddy, MBA, Assisted Living Manager at Cobblestone Assisted Living notes: “Cobblestone is a very “sweet” place to be. This week, during National Assisted Living Week, we are asking that everyone to be sweet…and share a kind word, a compliment or helping hand!
“I am honored to work with a great team of dedicated professionals at Cobblestone. Every day, we aim to provide life enriching experiences for our residents – and the rewards in doing so are endless,” according to Amanie.
Cobblestone, located within Park Springs CCRC, provides assisted living, skilled nursing, short-term senior rehabilitation and secured memory care. Park Springs Members have assured access to all services, some of which may also available to those who live outside of Park Springs.
