11 Dec Park Springs Members and Staff Named 2020 Award of Honor Recipient
Congratulations to the staff and 500 members of Park Springs for receiving the 2020 Award of Honor from LeadingAge Georgia! The Award of Honor, the association’s highest award, is presented annually to a distinguished individual or organization who has provided outstanding leadership to the Georgia association and whose exemplary service and commitment to quality have advanced both the association and the aging-services field. LeadingAge Georgia selected the Park Springs staff and members for their community-wide life-saving response to the coronavirus pandemic. The honorable mention for the award went to Park Springs Associate Executive Director Ginger Hansborough for her leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic. The award was presented on Thursday, December 10 at Park Springs.
“In a year when so many senior care centers are passionately and tirelessly working to provide the best possible care for our seniors, we are humbled and honored to receive this award,” stated Jeff Helms, executive director at Park Springs. “Our entire community – administration, staff and members – came together through the 75 days of our lock-in on campus and embodied the spirit of community and altruism. I am immensely proud to be part of this incredible community that is truly a second family.”
