Park Springs Members Volunteer to Deliver Meals

Henry Everett is one of ten Park Springs Members who are volunteering to deliver meals, groceries, and basic supplies to other Members across the campus who may not be able to get out of their homes easily. “I’m more able than some and wanted to help, especially during this time,” Henry says when noting that some of our Members have mobility challenges and may experience difficulties specifically related to circumstances around COVID-19. They tell him thank you when he comes to deliver food, and Henry offers them a much-appreciated opportunity to have a moment of connection with someone else in the neighborhood. Henry says that spirits are high when he talks to other Members. “We all appreciate being here at Park Springs. It’s another layer of protection.” We’re grateful for this volunteer team helping to keep our community engaged and delivering food orders. As our staff at Park Springs does everything in their power to provide support and services, the partnership of volunteers like Henry show how dedicated our Members are to the good of the community and other Members.
