Park Springs Welcomes Hurricane Irma Victims

Last week, as Hurricane Irma made its way through the Caribbean and the Southeast, many found themselves under mandatory evacuations and forced to find somewhere to go. Anytime the elderly are exposed to natural disasters and impending weather threats it can cause increased stress and adverse health effects. During this time, Park Springs opened its doors to The Marshes of Skidaway Island located in Savannah, Georgia along the Georgia coast.

During their stay, 38 Members from the skilled nursing and assisted living sectors called Park Springs home until it was safe to return to their community. Members and guests were worry-free as they continued to enjoy our first-class amenities, valet transportation and dining services. We are proud to say that our staff and The Marshes of Skidaway Island staff worked wonderfully together to ensure that all our Park Springs Members and those visiting were safe and comfortable.
