17 Jun Senior Living in Atlanta
Atlanta is home to many exciting events, performances and cultural experiences that our Members love to attend. Park Springs offers outings every week for Members to explore the surrounding community, and experience what senior living in Atlanta is all about. We encourage all of our Members to get out and see what Georgia has to offer through off-campus events. Sit back and enjoy. We will even do the driving.
Opportunities to Explore Atlanta
For members who love music, Park Springs offers several outings to experience first-class musical performances from some of Atlanta’s best. The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra performs over 200 concerts each year in Atlanta and all over the world. They are the leading cultural organization in the region for artistic development and music education. The Atlanta Ballet is the official state ballet of Georgia. They are known for their eclectic selection of ballets from throughout history.
If the theater peaks your interest, there is a great selection of theaters to visit in the Atlanta area. The Alliance Theater was founded in 1968, and has evolved into an award-winning theater with a variety of outstanding performances. The Alliance has a large network of performers and often hosts productions from broadways touring companies as well as local productions from Atlanta’s finest performers. The Fox Theater hosts more than 300 performances each year including Broadway musicals, rock concerts, comedians, and films. Located in central Atlanta, it is one of the cities most beloved landmarks. The Horizon Theater is known for bringing more modern performances to the stage. Many of their productions are written by contemporary play writes. They present main stage productions each season and also offer educational programs for their audiences.
Other off campus outings take members to enjoy the great outdoors and the art of Atlanta. The Atlanta Botanical Garden offers 30 acres of beautiful garden landscape. Their mission is “to develop and maintain plant collections for the purpose of display, education, conservation, research and enjoyment.” Many Park Springs members have enjoyed a peaceful stroll through these exotic gardens. The High Museum of Art is another popular trip for members at Park Springs. The High Museum offers an astonishing collection of classic and contemporary art and architecture. It is known as the leading art museum in the southeastern United States. With over 13,000 works of art in the permanent collection, there is something for all visitors to enjoy.
