Signs Your Loved One May Need Support

As the holidays approach, you may be spending more time with your parents or other aging loved ones, and perhaps even visiting in their home more than usual. If that’s the case, now is the perfect opportunity to evaluate their needs and determine if they may require more care and support. Here are five important clues to look for:

1. Take a look in the kitchen
Are there expired items in the fridge, or spoiled food and dirty dishes on the counter?

2. Examine the medicine cabinet
Do see unopened or expired medicine that they should be taking regularly?

3. Take a closer look at their appearance
Is their personal hygiene suffering? Are their clothes stained or not suitable for the weather?

4. Glance around the house
Are they having trouble completing chores such as laundry, vacuuming, or doing the dishes?

5. Take note of their mobility
Are they unsteady, or trapped because they can’t navigate the stairs or other distances?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, Park Springs Assisted Living can help. Our complete Continuum of Care meets your loved one right where they are with the exact level of care they need now…and in the future.
