Park Springs Members Enjoy Creative, Healthy Dining in Four Venues

Members at Park Springs enjoy the opportunity to dine in a variety of venues throughout the luxury retirement’s campus: the Market Café Bistro, the Main Dining Room, the Springhouse Grill and the Park Springs Pub. Executive Chef Derrick Henry, CEC, has run the four distinct dining establishments at the Park Springs retirement community since 2007.

 Taste of Park Springs

On July 15, 2015, Park Springs will host its annual “Taste of Park Springs” event for Members in the Community Hall from 1 – 5 PM. Many of Park Springs’ current and potential vendors will have a booth offering samples of foods that may be added to the various menus. In addition to vendor booths, Park Springs will add booths from The Springhouse Grill, The Bistro and The Main Dining Room.

“This is our Members’ opportunity to let us know what they like and vote on their favorite items. We look forward to the feedback!” says Chef Henry.

Fresh and delicious

In the Park Springs kitchens, the team of top chefs only uses the freshest, often locally-sourced ingredients, including Certified Angus Beef and Springer Mountain Farms chicken. The culinary team has also developed delicious low-calorie, gluten-free and reduced sodium dishes for Members with a variety of dietary restraints.

“At Park Springs, we serve between 700 and 800 meals per day in our four different restaurants, including lunch and dinner for our Park Springs members as well as for the residents at our Cobblestone Health Center. And I am not even counting the meal service for our 200 staff members,” according to Chef Henry, who, together with his expert team, has elevated the dining experience at Park Springs to a whole new level. Earlier this year, Chef Henry was honored with the 2014 Chef of the Year Award for the Atlanta Metro area.

“As a result of my extensive training at top restaurants and in-depth banquet experience, I especially love creating special menus and hosting special events,” says Chef Henry. “Good taste, sophistication, quality, creativity and healthy choices are always on the Park Spring menus!”
