25 Apr The Champion: Park Springs workers make round the clock commitment
The Champion published a story on April 24 discussing the “above and beyond” commitment of the Park Springs staff, demonstrated by 60 employees volunteering to stay on campus, 24 hours a day, seven days a week in order to protect their members.
Donna Moore, COO of Isakson Living, which owns and operates Park Springs, called the employees heroes, stating “it absolutely is a big commitment.” Among the 60 employees are nurses, certified nursing assistants, food and beverage personnel, environmental services workers, plant operations and administrative employees on the Park Springs 61-acre campus.
Park Springs Accounting Director Ginger Hansborough who is now helping with food delivery and other tasks, stated that she has two families – her family at home and her Park Springs family – and thinks of many of the members as grandparents.
“The spirit among the residents and the employees is incredible,” said Chris Clark, a five-year resident who has been enjoying with his wife many of the activities planned by Park Springs while they shelter in place. “We are perfectly comfortable.”
