Skilled Nursing at Park Springs is Medicare-Certified and offers both short and long-term care overseen by a full-time Geriatrician. Members enjoy their own private suites with large private full baths.
Skilled Nursing has low Care Partner-to-Member staffing ratios so Members always have the support of a compassionate care team when they need it.
Nurses and Care Partners are available 24 hours a day to provide appropriate levels of assistance and support Members in daily therapeutic and recreational activities.
TWO KINDS OF CARE, ONE STANDARD
Skilled Nursing at Park Springs serves two very different needs. Both are cared for by the same Medicare-certified clinical team, in the same Household Model, with the same attention to the person behind the diagnosis.
Long-Term Care
For Members who can no longer manage daily life on their own, Long-Term Care provides the highest level of support on our campus, delivered in a household rather than a hospital wing. Nurses and Care Partners are present around the clock, and a full-time Geriatrician oversees every plan of care.
Long-Term Care is the right fit when a loved one:
- Needs help with most Activities of Daily Living
- Lives with significant mobility limitations
- Has complex medical needs such as wound care, oxygen, or catheter care
- Is enrolled in hospice
- Is recovering from a major event such as a stroke or fracture
Even at this level, the days belong to the Member. Meals are served on their schedule, activities are built around their interests, and the Care Partners providing care are the ones who know their story.
Short-Term Rehabilitation
After surgery, a fall, or a serious illness, Short-Term Rehabilitation has one purpose: getting you back to the life you were living, as quickly and as safely as possible.
Physical, occupational, and speech therapists work alongside our nursing team and Geriatrician, with therapy up to five days a week. Before you go home, our team completes a home safety assessment so your return is a success. And if you need more time, we have it, whether that means additional days in rehab or a respite stay in Assisted Living.
Recovery here looks like a private suite, chef-prepared meals, and a team that knows your name.

YOUR PRIVATE SUITE
Every Skilled Nursing Member has a private suite with a private bath. Open floor plans and abundant natural light make the space feel like a room in a home, not a hospital.
Each suite is fully furnished and includes:
- Hospital bed, recliner, nightstand, dresser, and closet
- Television with basic cable and telephone service
- Individual temperature control
- All linens, toiletries, and laundry service
Bring the photographs, the quilt, and the reading lamp. Everything else is already here.
Chef-prepared meals, housekeeping, and assistance with daily living are included, so the only thing you or your loved one needs to focus on is getting well.
UNDERSTANDING MEDICARE COVERAGE
Park Springs is Medicare-certified, which means a qualifying stay in our Skilled Nursing household is covered under Medicare Part A. Here is how coverage typically works. Our admissions team verifies your benefits before admission so there are no surprises.
Medicare Part A
- To qualify, you must have spent at least three consecutive days in the hospital as an admitted inpatient. Time spent under observation status does not count.
- Days 1 to 20: covered in full by Medicare.
- Days 21 to 100: Medicare covers most of the cost. You are responsible for a daily coinsurance amount that Medicare sets each year.
Supplemental Insurance
Most Medicare supplement plans, including those from AARP, USAA, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana, and Mutual of Omaha, cover the daily coinsurance for days 21 to 100, often in full. Confirm that your policy includes skilled nursing coverage before admission.
Managed Care Plans
PPO plans with out-of-network benefits typically cover a Skilled Nursing stay with pre-authorization.
Park Springs is not in-network with HMO plans, and HMOs require their members to use in-network providers, so an HMO will not approve a stay here.
The Bottom Line
Without supplemental coverage, the daily coinsurance for days 21 to 100 is paid out of pocket. Coverage details vary by plan and change each year, so confirm yours in advance and let our team help you understand exactly what to expect.
