01 Jun Park Springs Now a Certified Wildlife Habitat
Park Springs has been awarded recognition as an official wildlife habitat from the National Wildlife Federation! Martha Sheffield, a Park Springs Member, stepped forward to make this recognition possible. As a Certified Wildlife Habitat, Park Springs joins a prestigious group of sites throughout the country that are recognized for protecting and cultivating wildlife.
We are excited to add this distinguished certification to our community. According to the certificate “because of [our] conscientious planning, landscaping and sustainable gardening, wildlife may find quality habitat – food, water, cover and places to raise their young.” We are proud to offer our resident birds and wildlife year-round nourishment as well as giving migratory birds a comfortable place to stop during their long journeys.
We look forward to helping the environment flourish and to nurture the plants and animals that make Park Springs so beautiful. For more information on what it means to be a Certified Wildlife Habitat, visit this page on the NWF website.
